If
the removal of markings or remnants of previous markings is agreed upon in
the Contract, these markings must be removed in such a way as to cause
minimum damage to the road surface. The method used (removal with
corrosives, removal by cutting or removal by sandblasting) must be
selected in order that road users, both during the daytime and during the
night-time, will not take the remnants of the previous markings for a
correct marking if they are not covered by new markings
